What You Wear Is Not Defined by Your Age

I refuse to resemble “mutton dressed as lamb.” In stores, I hear this a lot. Is my age too great for this?

Alright, let’s be clear: clothing has no age restrictions. With a few exceptions: Let’s exclude anything that wouldn’t make you feel at ease, like crop tops and cutoff shorts! You must be the source of your own style and appearance.

“Should I dress more conservatively now that I’m older?” is a frequently asked query.

This is what I would advise doing. Wear whatever makes you feel happy. Next, experiment with other things. Investigate some color. Include textures. You are limitless. When you congratulate someone on their attire, it’s clear that you appreciate that particular look. Would you mind giving it a go?

The majority of women over 60 are more self-assured and aware of their identity. You don’t have to agree with what other people wear; fashion is individualistic. Fashion is enjoyable and uniquely YOU. Put simply, you are not mutton dressed as lamb if you FEEL GOOD.

  1. Go for ease and style while adding 10% of the trends.
    Trends change over time. It’s not necessary for you to constantly remain by their side. However, having a taste of them on repeat is fantastic. because it’s enjoyable to wear fashion.
    Let’s face it, though: you want to look good and feel comfortable, not merely copy trends. Thus, limit the trends to 10%.

Put your lifestyle above trends. Are you the active grandmother? Try some colorful tees and tracksuits with more flair.
Are you the insane grandmother? Brightly colored clothing and plain sneakers might be great (so you can still chase them around).

Your style is defined in part by your lifestyle.
Comfort, however, need not equate to carelessness!

  1. Put on Fitting Clothing
    Wearing clothing that fits you well helps define and best outlines your figure. The darts and seams have the power to mold and elevate you when they are properly aligned. Nothing is worse than sloppy t-shirts, large jeans, and an oversized cardigan. Establish a framework. Give an explanation. In place of the cardigan, add a jacket.

Your body changes as you go through life. It’s possible that your shape has changed but not your size. It’s a good idea to measure both your body and your well-fitting clothing.     Alternately, go for a knee-length dress as opposed to a midi.

    This is your chance to excel. Accept the way your body is changing and start experimenting with color. Experiment with large prints and patterns.
    If something feels off to you? Why don’t you just start with some vibrant pink earrings and a handbag?
    Your self-assurance will increase. Simply begin experimenting a little bit here and there.
  3. Tidy up that closet.
    I’m suggesting toss out everything nostalgic now. Or store them in a box for your children to discover and reimagine at a later time.
    I’m telling you to go through your closet and get rid of anything that doesn’t give you the most confidence.
    Get rid of it; it doesn’t fit.
    It hasn’t been worn in a year? It’s time to deliver a box to Salvation Army.

Face all of your clothes in one direction to determine what you haven’t worn.
Additionally, when wearing an item, turn it to the back and wear it correctly.
